LED bulbs last considerably longer than traditional filament bulbs. Although more expensive to purchase the cost savings due to reduced energy consumption and increased lifespan make LED bulbs more cost effective in the medium term.

Typically LED bulbs last 25,000 hours. So if used for an average of five hours per day an LED bulb will last for more than 13 years.
